Started in 1921, as North West Tent & Awning Ltd. they once manufactured tents, tarps and awnings primarily using cotton and canvas. Since then virtually every aspect of the business has changed. Today, using a broad selection of advanced synthetic fabrics and employing leading technologies, they work closely with their customers to design and manufacture products, in an extensive range of applications used around the world.

Fabrene Inc.

A manufacturer of membranes developed in the late sixties by Du Pont research laboratories, Fabrene, Inc. is a company specializing in the design, manufacturing and marketing of engineered materials for applications in hygiene, medical and industrial applications. Fabrene now has 2 plants strategically located in North Bay, Ontario and Portland Oregon. This means customers have a more secure source of supply. In recent years, the company has expanded to include coated polypropylene fabrics, and from its acquired plant in Oregon, USA, paper-backed lumber wrap to complement its Farbrene line.
